State Greenhand Leadership Conference
The State Greenhand Leadership Conference is the kick-off FFA experience for first year members entering grades 8-10. This 4-day conference offers students an opportunity to learn more about the National FFA Organization, discover their potential as a student leader, and make friends with similar interests from throughout Minnesota.
Participants will:

Meet new people and build meaningful relationships

Begin to understand leadership and evaluate personal characteristics and habits that impact our ability to influence ourselves and those closest to us

Set goals for experiencing personal success in all areas of life

Learn more about FFA and the ways to grow and succeed through Supervised Agricultural Experiences, Career Development Events and FFA specific leadership opportunities
Conference Details
When: June 23rd-26th 2025
Registration begins with a 10:30 - 11:30 am check in and move in period on the first day of the conference with lunch at noon and programming immediately after. The conference adjourns by 10:30 am on the final day.
Where: Deep Portage Conservation Reserve (2197 Nature Center Dr NW, Hackensack, MN 56452)
Who: FFA members entering grades 8-10 are encouraged to attend.
Registration opens on May 1. Registration fee ($225) includes conference programming, supervision, materials, lodging, and meals.
Students with dietary restrictions must communicate those by email as indicated on the linked dietary accommodation form no later than June 1 to have necessary accommodations made. Any other accommodations should be made directly to state staff. Online waivers are due by June 15.
Registered students will be invoiced through their chapters with all payment and waiver details.
